LOBSTER TAIL JACKET / HADAL BLUE

The panels for Lobster Tail Jackets are all individually lined and bias-bound, before assembling with flat lapped seams. Because bias binding can not be used to edge sharp corners, all the panels are rounded. As rounded tails can not be sewn together into a flat edge, the four tails of the jacket have a distinctive scalloped shape, like a lobster’s tail.

Wool Baize versions of this jacket are lined to just below the pocket edge, and are unlined in the tails, velvet jacket panels are fully lined.
