ANTIQUE GIANT CALM SHELL / SOLD

This is an exceptional antique giant calm shell from a private collection,over one meter long 104 cm.We have seen several giant calm shells over the years,but never in this size or scale,due to the size,weight,layers upon layers,fossiling and pure thickness there is no issue in dating this piece to the 19th Century,it may even be earlier.The natural colouring is truly exceptional in blue ,pink and grey tones, making this really a one of a kind piece.
